After launching the C11 a couple of months ago, Realme is introducing two new budget C series phones with the C12 and the C15. Both devices have been revealed in India and it appears to be a direct competitor to Xiaomi’s Redmi 9A and 9C.

The Realme C12 and C15 share several similarities which include a 6.5″ HD+ display and a large 6,000mAh battery. The devices are running on a MediaTek Helio G35 processor which is the same unit that’s powering the current C11. Both models also come with a tiny notch and they share a similar design that features a square camera bump.

Below are the pricing of the new C12 and C15 in India:

Realme C12
3GB RAM + 32GB storage – INR 8,999 (about RM502)

Realme C15
3GB RAM + 32GB storage – INR 9,999 (about RM558)
4GB RAM + 64GB storage – INR 10,999 (about RM614)

Realme C12

The cheaper Realme C12 gets a triple-camera setup that consists of a 13MP f/2.2 main camera, a 2MP f/2.4 mono camera for depth effects and a 2MP f/2.4 macro shooter. For selfies, it gets a 5MP f/2.4 selfie camera.

The C12 still gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and retains a 3.5mm headphone jack. Powering the device is a 6,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging via its microUSB port. It has support up to 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. This is a dual-SIM 4G LTE device that has a triple-card slot (2x Nano SIM + 1x microSD card).

Realme Malaysia is introducing the C12 locally next week on the 25th August 2020. The full details will be revealed on their Facebook page at 11am.

Realme C15

Meanwhile, the Realme C15 offers some notable upgrades over the C12. The rear gets a quad-camera setup that also consists of a 13MP main camera but it gets an additional 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. The other two cameras are a 2MP B&W lens and a 2MP “retro” lens.

Although it gets the same 6,000mAh battery capacity, the C15 has support for 18W fast charging. The 9V2A charger is included in the box but it still uses a microUSB port. Similar to the C12, it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card expansion and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
