iPhone with Fortnite installed selling on eBay for more than RM75,000

It didn’t take long after Fortnite’s pull from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for scalpers to take advantage of the situation. You can currently find iPhones with Fortnite installed on eBay for sale—with an iPhone 11 Pro Max selling for more than RM75,000 (or USD18,000).

It looks like there is quite a lot of iPhones with Fortnite being sold on eBay, as there are a total of 1,122 ‘Fortnite’ iPhones for sale, currently. The lowest price you can get one of these phones is USD20 (RM84)—although it does seem even more suspicious.

If you quizzically feel attracted to the offer, I advise that you don’t go for any of these listings. If you already had Fortnite downloaded on your Apple device but had it deleted, there is still a way to reinstall the game without paying scalpers any money.

There is also a chance that the game might even come back to the App Store if both parties reached some sort of agreement. However, it’s hard to say when that is. Apple has also said it wants to put the game back although they “won’t make an exception for Epic”.

Previously in 2014, some scalpers have also offered Flappy Bird pre-installed devices for a premium. This happened after the creator pulled the plug on the popular app.
