The virtual event will be held on Acer Malaysia’s Facebook on 2 August at 3pm. To enhance the vibe, Acer Malaysia has lined up performances by local celebrities Linora, Pong Pong and Cikidot.

Acer also marked the special occasion announcing a refresh of its popular gaming laptops, the Predator Helios 700 and Helios 300. Both laptops were announced during the next@acer global press conference in late June.

Predator Helio 700

The Predator Helios 700 is a mobile desktop replacement that is now available for pre-order in Malaysia with prices starting from RM12,999.

Boasting a massive 17.3” 144Hz FHD IPS display with Nvidia G-Sync technology, the Helios 700 is able to showcase the latest games running in ultra-smooth frame rates without any screen tearing. It can be equipped with an overclockable 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10980HK or i7-10875H processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super or RTX 2070 Super graphics card.

All this makes the Helios 700 more than capable of handling the most graphics-intensive games of today. To keep this gaming beast cooled and running smoothly, Acer has included a new thermal solution called the Predator PowerGem that is claimed to provide more efficient heat distribution compared to copper.

It comes with two Thunderbolt 3 ports and is capable of accepting up to 64GB of 2933Hz memory and up to two fast PCIe NVMe Solid State Drives (SSD) to keep your games running fast.

One of the highlights of the Helios 700 has to be its iconic sliding HyperDrift keyboard. You get RGB lighting in the keys and an anti-ghosting keyboard that is updated with MagTek mechanical switches for the WASD keys. Gamers can choose the keys best suited for their game by swapping the standard WASD keys for MagForce or racing keys.

Predator Helios 300

Gamers who are looking for a blur-free gaming experience may want to check out the Predator Helios 300. Equipped with a 15.6” narrow-border FHD IPS display that offers 144Hz refresh rates and 3ms response times.

It can be configured with the latest 10th Gen Intel Core i7 or i5 processors, up to 32GB of RAM in dual channel and 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. For graphics, it can be paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics that Acer claims is more than enough to meet most gamer’s needs. There are also an additional M.2 slot and HDD slot in case you want to upgrade in the future.

Acer has included its latest AeroBlade 3D fan technology in the Helios 300, that is claimed to deliver exceptional cooling while reducing overall noise.

The refreshed Predator Helios 300 will be available from 2 August onwards at all Acer official online stores and all Acer authorized resellers nationwide. Retail prices starting from RM4,599.
