As teased earlier, the Mi Smart Band 5 has officially arrived in Malaysia. These are official sets that are covered by Xiaomi Malaysia warranty.
The Mi Smart Band 5 is officially priced at RM169 in Malaysia and at the moment, it is only offered in Black. If you’re interested, the new fitness band is available starting today 24th July via Shopee and Lazada.
According to Xiaomi Malaysia, the Mi Smart Band 5 will be released at other channels in Malaysia at a later stage. The new band is slightly more expensive as the previous Mi Band 4 was launched in Malaysia for RM149.
To recap, the Mi Smart Band 5 comes with a larger 1.1″ AMOLED display and it is rated to last up to 14 days on a single charge. The biggest change is its charging mechanism as it now uses a magnetic cable. This eliminates the need of removing the band from the strap like the current Mi Band 4.
The fitness band offers 24-hour heart rate and sleep monitoring. There’s also a menstrual cycle prediction feature as well as stress monitoring. Similar to its predecessor, it comes with 5 ATM water resistance and you can use the fitness band for swim tracking. The band comes with customisable watch faces and you can use it to display notifications from your phone.
