Vivo X50 and X50 Pro Malaysian pricing revealed, pre-order now available

The Vivo X50 and X50 Pro will be officially announced in Malaysia this evening. Ahead of the live stream event, retailer SenQ has dropped more details including the official retail pricing for the new 5G smartphones.

According to retailer, the Vivo X50 series in Malaysia is priced as follows:

X50 5G (8GB RAM +128GB storage) – RM2,399
X50 Pro 5G (8GB RAM + 256GB storage) – RM3,199

Both devices are expected to be available from the 25th July 2020 and SenQ is offering freebies worth up to RM678 while stocks last. This includes an air purifier and wireless speaker. The device also gets 1-year extended warranty and screen crack protection. According to the SenQ, PlusOne members can also get up to 3 years warranty.

For the top of the line X50 Pro model, there’s also a PWP promo where you can get the Vivo TWS Neo for RM99. The wireless earbuds are officially priced at RM359.

To recap, the X50 and X50 Pro are Vivo’s latest premium 5G smartphones. Both models come with a 6.56″ Full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and they run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G. However, the X50 Pro gets a dual-curved screen and has a higher screen-to-body ratio.

In terms of camera, the X50 gets a 48MP f/1.6 main camera with OIS, a 13MP portrait shooter that offers 2x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP macro shooter. Meanwhile, the Pro version gets a 48MP f/1.6 main shooter with a gimbal-like stabilisation and it comes with two telephoto cameras. It has a 13MP portrait camera with 2x optical zoom and an 8MP periscope telephoto module that offers 5x optical zoom with OIS. Also included is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter.

Both X50 variants also gets a 32MP selfie camera that sits on a punch-hole on the top left corner of the screen. Powering the devices is a 4,200mAh battery on the X50 and a slightly larger 4,315mAh unit on the X50 Pro.
