Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra vs Note 10+ hands-on video has surfaced online

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series will be announced next month and we now get a clearer look at the device thanks to a new hands-on video. YouTuber JimmyIsPromo has just uploaded what appears to be the first hands-on video of the upcoming Samsung flagship with a side-by-side comparison with last year’s Galaxy Note 10+.

As spotted from the leaked product photos from Samsung’s website, the volume rocker and power button for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is placed on the right instead of the left. It looks like this flipping of placements is also carried out on the bottom edge of the phone. While the USB-C port is still positioned in the middle, Samsung has flipped the placement for the S Pen silo, microphone and even the speaker grill.

What’s interesting is that the S Pen for both Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Note 10+ are interchangeable and it appears to fit into each other’s silos without any resistance. Although it may fit, it isn’t clear if the older S Pen can support the new “laser pointer” feature that was revealed yesterday.

As the video focuses on the back, you can see how much bigger the new camera bump is. Like the Galaxy S20 series, the rectangular camera bump on the new phone is huge but it appears to house just 3 cameras and one IR unit. For the first time on the Note series, it appears that the Note 20 Ultra will feature a periscope telephoto lens which will offer greater zoom than before.

Looking at the sides, you can see how thick the bump is and it is said to be thicker than the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The rest of the body looks similar to the current Note with a flat top and bottom, along with rounded side edges. As seen on the earlier leaked photos, the bezels for the front display appear to be thinner and even the punch-hole camera is noticeably smaller too.

You can watch the video below for a clear look at the new Note 20 Ultra. The next Galaxy Unpacked event is happening on the 5th of August 2020 and it will be stream live at 10pm Malaysian time. To be among the first to know, Samsung has initiated its registration of interest on their website.
