The Honor MagicBook 14 has officially arrived in Malaysia and it is essentially the current Honor MagicBook that comes in a newer body. The new MagicBook 14 will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow with freebies worth up to RM966.
The new Honor MagicBook 14 is officially priced at RM2,499 which is RM200 more than the previous version. For the Malaysian market, it comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of SSD storage.
If you’re interested, the laptop is available for pre-order starting tomorrow, 7th July until the 13th of July on HiHonor.com. It is also available at Honor Experience stores from 7th to 16th July 2020.
As a pre-order promo, you’ll receive an Honor Magic Watch, Honor Backpack and an Honor Bluetooth Mouse while stocks last. However, on the online store, you’ll also receive an Honor PVC Laptop pouch.
The MagicBook 14 comes with a 14″ IPS display that pushes a Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Like the current MagicBook, it runs on an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor with Vega 8 graphics. It still comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, however, the onboard PCIe NVMe SSD storage is smaller at 256GB.
The MagicBook 14 features a hidden 1MP pop-up webcam that sits on the upper most row of the keyboard and it also gets a power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor. The 56Wh battery is rated to last up to 10 hours on a single charge and it supports 65W fast-charging via USB-C. According to Honor, you can get up to 46% charge in just half an hour.
In terms of ports, it has 2x USB-A (1x 3.0, 1x 2.0), a USB-C port, a HDMI port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Out of the box, it runs on Microsoft Windows 10 Home. Overall, the MagicBook 14 weighs 1.38kg and has a thickness of 15.9mm. As a comparison, the previous model is heavier at 1.45kg with a listed thickness of 0.62″ (15.75mm).
