Astro replaces Phoenix channels with TVB News and TVBS News

Pay-TV operator Astro has introduced two HD Chinese news channels – TVB News and TVBS News, that will be available starting from 6th July 2020 at 6.00am. Both channels are available to subscribers on Chuen Min, Emperor and Gold Pack at no additional cost on TV and on Astro Go.

The TVB News channel on CH 318 is Hong Kong’s only 24-hour news channel that offers daily updates from Hong Kong in Cantonese. Some of the key segments include Good Morning Hong Kong from 6am to 9am, One Hour News at 9:30pm and As far as You reach at 3:30pm, 6:30pm and 8:30pm.

Meanwhile, TVBS News on CH 323 is a Taiwan based 24-hour news channel which provides news coverage in Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Some of its key highlights include 2100 Hot Topics at 9pm, News Night at 10pm and Last Night Vision at 11pm.

The two new channels replace Phoenix Chinese Channel and Phoenix InfoNews Channel. Both Phoenix channels were previously accessible on CH 318 and CH 323 respectively. For more, you can visit Astro’s website.
