MyPay, the eGovernment service platform by Dapat Vista (M) Sdn Bhd will soon offer digital payments, digital financing and eWallet features. They have just announced a collaboration with the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB) and Fass Payment Solutions Sdn Bhd (Fasspay).
Dapat Vista which previously allowed PTPTN borrowers to check on their education loan status via SMS at 15888 has recently transitioned the feature to MyPay mobile payment system. According to PTPTN Chief Executive Encik Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid, the venture between the two parties has helped to encourage consistent payment and deposits among PTPTN borrowers and SSPN depositors.
A few months ago, Dapat Vista and Bank Islam have signed a collaborative agreement for eJamin, an online bail payment solution for the courts. The partnership with Bank Islam will be extended to cover personal financing process in mobile phones and they will soon introduce an eWallet to increase the convenience of MyPay’s usage in both rural and suburban communities.
Through MyPay, Bank Islam aims to leverage on Dapat Vista’s expertise in the digital space and to transform their business by enabling them to reach customers that are unbanked and underserved. This would allow customers to sign up for Bank Islam’s personal financing products at any location.
Commenting on the collaboration, FassPay CEO Chris Leong said the eWallet integration into MyPay will power innovation among the B40 group. He added that with the approval from Bank Negara Malaysia, it will allow its eWallet to transact with a higher limit. The eWallet will enable MyPay users to get access to more financial facilities.
At the time of writing, the eWallet feature is still not available on the MyPay app and the new services are expected to be rolled out towards the end of this year. MyPay is accessible via their website or through an app that’s available on both Apple App Store and Google Play store.
