Oppo A92 in Aurora Purple is offered with RM497 worth of freebies

Want the Oppo A92 but prefer a different colour? The Aurora Purple edition will be available in Malaysia starting tomorrow and Oppo is bundling freebies worth RM497.

The Oppo A92 in Aurora Purple will be offered exclusively on Shopee from the 26th June to 10th July 2020. During that period, you’ll get an Oppo Enco M31 wireless headphones worth RM199, a Reno bagpack worth RM199 and one year extended warranty worth RM99. The freebies are valid for the first 300 customers.

Oppo Malaysia has yet to reveal its official price. As a comparison, the current Oppo A92 in Shining White and Twilight Black is priced at RM1,199, and we are guessing that the new colour option will retain the same price tag.

[ UPDATE 25/06/2020 22:00 ]: The Oppo A92 Aurora Purple is officially priced at RM1,199.

The Aurora Purple phone will be unveiled through a Shopee Live Stream on the 26th of June at 10.30am. You can stand a chance to win an Oppo Enco W31 worth RM259 and shopee vouchers worth RM100 when you tune in.

Oppo A92 specs

According to Oppo, the Aurora Purple colourway is inspired by the polar lights which are often referred to as aurora borealis. The rest of the specs appears to be unchanged from the other colours as it retains 6.5″ Full HD+ display that has a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

In the camera department, the A92 comes with a quad-camera setup that consists of a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and two 2MP cameras for portrait effects. For selfies, it comes with a 16MP front camera that sits in a punch-hole.

Powering the device is a large 5,000mAh battery and it supports 18W fast-charging via USB-C. The device still comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and it has dual stereo speakers. Out of the box, it runs on Android 10 with ColorOS 7.1 skin on top.
