In case you didn’t know, you can use your BigPay account to transfer money to an overseas bank account. The prepaid card brand by AirAsia has announced that it has expanded its remittance service to include Australia and Vietnam.

According to BigPay, they are offering a low-cost and transparent and accessible way for people to transfer money abroad and the feature is a cornerstone of BigPay’s financial inclusion strategy. Apart from these two countries, BigPay will be adding China to the list very soon.

BigPay Remittance List

Remittance to Australia costs RM17 while Vietnam will cost you RM10. Meanwhile, remittance to China is listed at RM23 per transfer but it isn’t available just yet. If you’re making your first international transfer, BigPay will waive the transfer fee.

Users can top up their BigPay accounts via bank cards or bank transfers. Do note that credit-card top-ups are now limited to RM2,500 per month. The international transfer isn’t instant and it would take several working days depending on the country.

BigPay has shared that since its launch in September 2019, its remittance service has grown at an average of 35% month-on-month. Their top countries include Indonesia, India, Thailand, Singapore, Bangladesh, Nepal and the Philippines.

For more info, you can visit BigPay’s website. The BigPay app is available on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
