Here are two new mobile Pokemon Games. One can help with oral hygiene

The Pokemon brand has been kind with new updates and additions for fans recently. If you play Pokemon Sword or Shield on the Nintendo Switch, you’d get to enjoy the Isle Of Armor DLC, which is now live. And for your mobile phone, Pokemon has got you covered, too.

Pokemon Smile

You can already start downloading and playing Pokemon Smile, an app designed to encourage kids to brush their teeth. The free app can be downloaded here for iOS and here for Android.

Meant to help kids improve their dental hygiene habits, the app uses the phone’s camera to monitor their brushing. The app also lets you ‘fight’, catch and collect Pokemon like in Pokemon Go.

Upon starting, the app lets you pick your favourite Pokemon. (The right answer is Squirtle)

You (I mean, your kids) can then start brushing in front of your selfie camera. You’ll see yourself wearing your own AR ‘hat’ shaped like your favourite Pokemon, and when you start brushing you’ll get your first Pokemon “attack” germs, as well as a random Pokemon.

Once you’re done brushing, you can tap on the screen to throw a Pokeball at the “defeated” Pokemon to catch it. You’ll also get prizes like more AR hats and stickers.

There are over 100 Pokemon to catch in the game so that you (or your kids) can “collect them all”, so to speak. Pokemon Smile can also send up to three notifications each day for teeth brushing, and set timers for each brushing session.

Pokemon Cafe Mix

Pokemon Cafe Mix is a match-3 type puzzle game—kind of like Candy Crush. The game will only be available on the 23rd June, but you can pre-register for them here (for Android) and here (for iOS).

In the game, you’ll be stepping into the shoes of a cafe owner who serves treats to Pokemon. As you serve your customer, you will be able to befriend and recruit more Pokemon, as well as expand the cafe and add new business opportunities.

These apps aren’t the only things the Pokemon Company is planning to release. It was reported last year that they are developing Pokemon Sleep, an app meant to “turn sleeping into entertainment”. New Pokemon Snap is also planning a release on Nintendo Switch.
