Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G Malaysia: Everything you need to know

Huawei Malaysia has officially revealed its availability details for the Nova 7 SE. This is currently the most affordable new 5G smartphone in Malaysia that’s priced under RM1,500.

Pricing and availability

Below is the official pricing of the Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G in Malaysia:

8GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM1,499

The device comes in 3 colours – Space Silver, Crush Green and Midsummer Purple. It will be available from the 19th of June 2020 at the Huawei online store as well as Huawei Experience Stores nationwide.

As a launch promo, Huawei is offering free gifts and rewards that are worth up to RM1,256. This includes a Huawei Band 4, Nova casing, 3 months access to Huawei Video (dimsum), 6 months access to Huawei Book, 12 months 15GB Huawei Cloud Storage and Member centre rewards worth up to RM1,000.

Huawei is also offering additional free gifts during the Huawei AppGallery Carnival 2020. On top of that, you’ll also stand a chance to win 1 out of 3 Proton X70 that are given away as a lucky draw during the Huawei AppGallery Carnival.

Meanwhile, there are no details yet for its higher-spec Huawei Nova 7 5G. We expect Huawei reveal more info on its pricing at a later date.

Hardware Specs

The Huawei Nova 7 SE is Huawei’s new mid-range smartphone that supports 5G connectivity. It comes with a 6.5″ Full HD+ IPS display and it runs on a Kirin 820 processor.

The device gets a quad-camera setup at the rear that consists of a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the front punch-hole houses a 16MP selfie camera. With MeeTime, it supports 1080p video calls, screen sharing and beauty mode with compatible Huawei smartphones.

Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery that supports 40W SuperCharge via USB-C. It is rated to provide a 70% charge within just 30 minutes. Overall, it weighs 189 grams and Huawei says it’s lighter than your makeup.

Do note that the device runs on Huawei Mobile Services and that means it doesn’t come with Google apps and services pre-installed. To discover and download apps, it comes with Huawei’s AppGallery.
