Answering my continuous need for travel experiences, since it’s very unlikely that we’d get to travel anywhere this year, Klook is offering a new home-based experiences initiative called Klook Home. It consists of things like DIY craft and cooking kits, online workshops and classes, as well as free virtual tours.
“This is just one exciting new venture in a series Klook’s multi-stage recovery efforts all aimed at keeping the fire for travel and discovering new experiences burning inside of travellers,” wrote Klook in their press release.
Virtual Interactive Experiences
Klook’s Virtual Interactive Experiences are a way for you to experience exclusive interactive tours. The tours vary every week, from spending a day with baby Komodo dragons at Bali Safari, to visiting the Old Royal Navy College in Greenwich, London.
All sessions are hosted live and you can also talk directly with the guides around the world. They are also scheduled, will take place in Klook Malaysia’s Facebook Page, and are completely free. However, they are only scheduled on Saturdays.
Here are the experiences happening in June:
- 6th June: Baby Komodo dragons from Bali Safari, Indonesia
- 13th June: Wine tasting session with Tower Tours, California
- 20th June: Tropical Cebu Safari in the Philippines
- 27th June: The “most popular filming location in the world” Old Royal Navy College in London, United Kingdom
Online classes
You can learn new skills in your own home through an online class in Klook Home. The best part if that along with the class itself, you would get a kit of materials sent to you so you won’t need to get the items yourself.
The activities ranges from learning how to make a hand crochet pouch from scratch to wrapping your first preserved flower bouquet. However, there are some classes that don’t send you materials so you would need to double-check your class details, as classes like a ‘Taekwondo’ course won’t need specific materials.
Along with the online classes, you can also opt for DIY craft kits that you can do in your own time, DIY kit meals like steam boat and barbecue from restaurants.
You can look through the options here.
