The anticipated Poco F2 Pro has finally arrived in Malaysia and this is the most affordable Snapdragon 865 powered smartphone in the market. The F2 Pro will go on sale starting next month with a starting price of RM2,199.

Pricing and availability

There are two specs available and below is the official Poco F2 Pro pricing in Malaysia:

6GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM2,199
8GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM2,599

As an early bird promo, the Poco F2 Pro 256GB variant will be bundled with a BlackShark FunCooler worth RM139 for free while stocks last. The devices will be available on the 10th of June. However, the Xiaomi sub-brand has yet to provide details of its sales channels and colour options available.

The Poco F2 Pro comes in 4 colours – Grey, Purple, Blue and White. Both Purple and Grey variants will come with an anti-glare matte finish. The 6GB RAM + 128GB variant will be offered at RM1,999 on 10th June exclusively on the Xiaomi LazMall Flagship store. Meanwhile, the 8GB RAM + 256GB variant is sold via Xiaomi LazMall Flagship Store, Mi Official Store on Shopee and authorised Mi Stores in Malaysia.

Hardware specs

The Poco F2 Pro comes with a 6.67″ Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and it runs on a Snapdragon 865 platform. It uses high-performance LPDDR5 RAM (LPDDR4x for 6GB RAM version) and UFS 3.1 storage but it doesn’t come with a microSD expansion slot.

Since it has a full edge to edge screen without notches or punch hole, the F2 Pro comes with a 20MP pop-up selfie camera which is similar to the Mi 9T series. At the rear, it gets a Huawei Mate 30-inspired quad-camera bump that has a 64MP main camera, an 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro shooter and a 2MP depth camera.

Powering the device is a large 4,700mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging via USB-C. A full charge can be completed in just 63 minutes. Also included is a fan-favourite 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR blaster and NFC support. The device also supports WiFi 6 and 5G as certified recently by SIRIM.
