If you’ve been eyeing a Snapdragon 865 powered flagship killer, the Poco F2 Pro is coming to Malaysia very soon. The official Malaysian pricing and order info will be revealed tomorrow, on the 28th May 2020.

The full details will be unveiled on the official Poco F2 Pro Facebook page but no exact time is given. Similar to the Xiaomi Mi 10 series, we expect the device to go on sale through e-commerce platforms such as Lazada and Shopee.

The Poco F2 Pro was announced earlier this month and it is essentially a rebadged Redmi K30 Pro. The device is offered in two variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.

In Europe, the base model is priced at EUR 499 which is about RM2,391 when converted directly. However, we do expect the F2 Pro to be priced significantly lower for our local market.

To recap on the specs, the new Poco flagship features a 6.67″ Full HD+ AMOLED screen and it runs on a Snapdragon 865 platform. It supports both 5G as well as WiFi 6. To keep things cool, it features a LiquidCool Technology 2.0 that boasts a large vapour chamber that claims to reduce CPU temperature by 14 degrees celsius.

In the camera department, it has a quad-camera setup that consists of a 64MP main camera (Sony IMX686), a 13MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 5MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Similar to the Mi 9T series, it also gets a 20MP pop-up selfie camera.

The device has a large 4,700mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging via USB-C. According to Xiaomi, you can get a full charge in just 63 minutes. Unfortunately, there’s no wireless charging support.

Also included is a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR blaster plus NFC support. Out the box, it runs on Android 10 with Poco Launcher 2.0.
