Realme has introduced its first smartwatch that’s simply called the Realme Watch. It boasts a week-long battery life and an affordable price of INR 3,999 (about RM230) in India.
The Realme Watch comes with a 1.4″ touch-screen LCD display that pushes a resolution of 320×320 pixels. You can customise the watch face with 12 built-in examples with the option to download more via the Realme Link App.
Similar to the Apple Watch, the watch bands are detachable with a one-button quick release mechanism. By default, it comes with a silicone watch band which is said to be soft and skin-friendly.
Despite its low price tag, the Realme Watch has a built-in heart-rate-sensor that supports 24-hour heart rate monitoring. Also included is a SpO2 sensor which measures your blood oxygen saturation level which is Realme says is essential for those that perform high-intensity physical or mental workouts.
The watch also comes with fitness tracking with up to 14 sports mode. During your workout you can track your progress including heart rate, steps and duration. In addition, it can also display phone notifications from popular apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Gmail and even TikTok.
The Realme Watch also allows you to control your music playback and soon, you can also control your Realme Smart IoT products from your wrist. This feature will be pushed later via an OTA update.
The watch connects via Bluetooth 5.0 but unfortunately, it doesn’t come with GPS. It has a vibration motor, 3-axis accelerometer and IP68 dust and water resistance. The watch weighs 31g and has a thickness of 11.8mm.
On a full charge, the watch’s 160mAh battery is rated to last 7 days with heart monitoring enabled or up to 9 days with the feature turned off. On power saving mode, it can last up to 20 days. The device is charged via a magnetic dock that connects to a USB port.
The Realme Watch will be available in India starting 5th June. The device has also passed Malaysia’s SIRIM certification and it is an indication that it will be sold locally soon. To learn more, you can check out the product page.
