Honor MagicBook Pro: 16″ laptop powered by 10th gen Intel Core processor

Honor has announced its latest MagicBook Pro laptop that comes with a large 16.1″ screen and it runs on the current 10th gen Intel Core processors.

It comes with a 16.1″ IPS panel that pushes a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The display boasts a screen-to-body ratio of 90% and it has thin bezels measuring at 4.9mm. Similar to the Huawei MateBook X Pro, it also comes with a pop-up 1MP webcam that’s hidden between the keyboard’s function keys.

The MagicBook Pro runs on either an Intel Core i5-10210U or a Core i7-10510U processor. It comes with 16GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. For graphics, it’s equipped with Nvidia GeForce MX350 with 2GB of GDDR5 RAM.

The laptop also features a High-Performance mode which can be activated by pressing the Fn + P keys together. According to Honor, this will boost CPU performance by 8% and rendering “engineering files” will be 15% more efficient.

It comes with pair of speakers that are placed on both sides of the keyboard. Also included is a power button that comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor.

The 16″ laptop comes with 3x USB Type-A (USB 3.0) ports, 1x USB-C, a full-size HDMI port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. If you have a compatible Huawei and Honor device, it also supports multi-screen collaboration by tapping on the NFC sticker.

Powering the MagicBook Pro is a 56Wh battery that’s rated to last 11.5 hours on a single charge. The bundled 65W USB-C fast-charger is rated to push 50% charge in 30 minutes and 80% charge in just 1 hour. Overall it weighs 1.7kg and has a thickness of 16.9mm.

In China, the Core i5 version is priced at CNY 5,999 (about RM3,672) while the range-topping Core i7 variant is priced at CNY 6,699 (about RM4,100). Both versions come with 16GB RAM and 512GB of SSD.

During the global launch, it is mentioned that the Honor MagicBook Pro will be going on sale globally from September, and Malaysia is among the listed countries to get it. Out of the box, it runs on Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit.
