Apple’s latest iPhone SE is coming to Malaysia next week and it’s their latest budget offering for 2020. It comes in a familiar 4.7″ screen form factor but it runs on the same Apple A13 Bionic chip as the current iPhone 11 Pro.
Below is the iPhone SE 2020 official pricing in Malaysia:
64GB – RM1,999
128GB – RM2,199
256GB – RM2,699
The device is offered in 3 colour options – White, Black and (Product) Red.
You can order the iPhone SE in Malaysia starting 11th May 2020 on the Apple Online Store and the Apple Store app. It will be available through authorised retailers later that week. If you prefer to get it on contract, it will also be available from Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile.
Essentially, the iPhone SE is an upgraded iPhone 8. It retains a 4.7″ Retina HD display that pushes a 1334×750 pixels resolution. The screen also has TrueTone technology, however, 3D Touch is replaced with Haptic Touch. Like the iPhone 8, the SE also features the same glass and aluminium design.
Under the hood, it runs on an Apple A13 Bionic Chip and it appears to be mated to 3GB of RAM. In the camera department, it retains the same single 12MP camera with OIS and it can shoot 4K videos at 60fps. Meanwhile, the front gets a 7MP FaceTime HD camera and it supports portrait selfie with various portrait lighting effects.
The iPhone SE still retains a home button with Touch ID and the device is powered by the same 1,821mAh battery as the iPhone 8. It also supports 18W fast charging but you’ll need to purchase a USB-PD charging brick and a lightning to USB-C cable which is sold separately. Similar to the iPhone 8, it also gets IP67 rated dust and water resistance.
In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G LTE up to gigabit speeds as well as 802.11ax WiFi 6 with MIMO and Bluetooth 5.0. Like the latest iPhone models, it also supports dual-SIM if you have an eSIM enabled.
