The Realme 6 Pro will be announced locally next week but if you’re looking for a flagship-class smartphone, it appears that its top-of-the-line Realme X50 Pro 5G is heading for Malaysia very soon. A new device with the model number RMX2075 has appeared on Malaysia’s SIRIM database.
The model number indicates that this is the Realme X50 Pro 5G that was launched in February. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and it will support 5G. According to the SIRIM listing, the device will support the 700MHz, 3500MHz and 3700MHz 5G bands as well as 802.11ax WiFi 6.
To recap, the X50 Pro 5G features a 6.44″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED display that pushes a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. It has a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a maximum brightness of 1000 nits and it’s also HDR10+ certified. Like most 2020 flagship, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with a 5G modem. The device can be configured up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.
In the camera department, the X50 Pro 5G features a 64MP main camera with a 1/1.72″ sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There’s also a 12MP telephoto camera that boasts up to 20x zoom and a dedicated 2MP mono lens for portrait effects.
Meanwhile, the front comes with a dual-selfie punch-hole camera that houses a 32MP main selfie camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
Although the X50 Pro 5G lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, it comes with a dual stereo speaker setup that’s enhanced with Dolby Atmos. Powering the device is a 4,200mAh battery and it supports 65W SuperDart Charge via USB-C. According to Realme, it can get a full charge in just 35 minutes.
In Europe, the device is priced from EUR 599 (about RM2,797) for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. Of course, Malaysian pricing will be significantly lower but we reckon it will be priced above the RM2,000 mark. As a comparison, their last flagship, the Realme X2 Pro was launched at RM2,399 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option.
