Apart from the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro, Xiaomi has also introduced the Mi Note 10 Lite. Like the name suggests, this is the cheaper alternative to the Mi Note 10 that was announced in December.
Pricing and availability
Below is the official Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite pricing in Europe:
6GB RAM + 64GB storage – EUR 349 (about RM1,646)
6GB RAM + 128GB storage – EUR 399 (about RM1,882)
It was announced during the live stream that the Mi Note 10 Lite will be going on sale starting mid-May. According to Xiaomi Malaysia, the local pricing and availability details will be announced at a later date.
As a comparison, the current Mi Note 10 with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage was officially launched in Malaysia at RM2,099. Meanwhile, the Mi Note 10 Pro with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version is going for RM2,499.
Hardware Specs
Although it carries the “Lite” branding, the Mi Note 10 Lite still retains a lot of flagship features from the more expensive variants. It still features a dual-curved 6.47″ AMOLED screen that pushes a Full HD+ resolution along with in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it also runs on an upper-mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor. It is equipped with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage which is non-expandable.
Instead of a penta-camera setup with a 108MP main camera, the Lite version settles for a quad-camera array that has dual-LED flash and a dual soft-light. The device gets a 64MP main camera that uses a Sony IMX686 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro-camera. For selfies, it has a 16MP front camera that sits on a tiny notch.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a telephoto camera. You can check out the comparison versus the Mi Note 10 below:
It can shoot 4K 30fps videos and also 960fps slow-mo in 720p. The device also comes with NFC support along with an IR blaster and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Also retained is a huge 5,260mAh battery and it also supports 30W fast charging via USB-C. With the bundled 30W fast charger, Xiaomi says you can get a full charge in just 64 minutes.
