If you’re looking for a pair of affordable true wireless earphones, Oppo is introducing its new Enco W31 earbuds in Malaysia very soon. It boasts true balanced earbuds with binaural low-latency Bluetooth 5.0 transmission.
Unlike the Oppo Enco Free, the Enco W1 comes with in-ear silicon tips for provides a better seal. Instead of having a tooth-floss case design, the charging case looks like a puck that opens up in a clamshell form factor. Each earbud supports tap controls for answering or ending calls, or to change audio tracks.
The Enco W1 allows you to switch between Balance mode or Bass mode by double-tapping on the left piece. There’s also a “wearing detection” feature where it will pause your music if a piece is removed and it will resume playback automatically when you put the earbud on again.
According to the spec-sheet, the 25mAh built-in batteries are rated to push up to 3.5 hours of music playback on a single charge, while the charging case with a 350mAh battery can provide 15 hours of playback. The case charges via USB-C and it takes 2.5 hours for a full charge. The Enco W31 also has water resistance rated at IPX4.
In China, the Enco W1 is priced at CNY 299 (about RM184). As a comparison, the Enco Free which looks like an AirPods clone is priced at CNY 699 (about RM431) in China. In Malaysia, it is currently sold for RM499. The Oppo Enco W1 is offered in 3 colours – Black, White and Pink.
