Samsung Malaysia extends product warranty during MCO

During the Movement Control Order period, all non-essential businesses must remain closed throughout Malaysia. Since service centres are not open, Samsung Malaysia will be providing a 30 days extended warranty for all Samsung products that will expire during the MCO. This would include smartphones, TVs, air-conditioners and various home appliances.

According to the Korean electronics giant, this offer is for products with existing warranties that are expiring between 18th March to 28th April 2020. The 30-day extension starts from the date when Samsung’s repair services resume operations. It is also mentioned that all existing terms and conditions on the warranty will still apply.

The MCO was recently extended for another two weeks and it is tentatively scheduled to end on 28th April 2020.
