GoCar and SoCar offer cars for business deliveries from RM30/day

With the ongoing Movement Control Order, many SMEs are facing financial uncertainties while Malaysians are urged to stay at home. Although food deliveries are permitted, not many businesses are on a delivery platform. To lend a helping hand, car-sharing platforms such as GoCar and SoCar are offering special plans for small businesses to book cars to carry out their delivery and transportation needs.

GoCar

Businesses can get a GoCar for RM30/day. The car is available 24/7 and the booking comes with unlimited mileage. For greater peace of mind, GoCar is providing anti-bacterial wipes in the car.

At RM30/day, this is quite affordable as GoCar is currently offering the Nissan Almera for RM6.90 per hour or RM69 per day. Do note that petrol is not included and you must refuel back to the same tank level at the time of pickup before returning the vehicle.

The car booking is done entirely via the app and there’s no human interaction required. You’ll need to register on the GoCar Delivery site and they will send you a promo code for this promo. For more info, you can check out GoCar for Deliveries.

SoCar

[ UPDATE 10/4/2020 13:40 ] SoCar’s has provided more details on its Business Mobility page. More details added below:

Meanwhile, SoCar is offering its own promotion for businesses during the MCO. Information is quite scarce at the moment as SoCar’s BizMobility site is not available at the time of writing. According to the Facebook post, SMEs can book a car from RM200 for 5 days, which is equivalent to RM40 per day. Alternatively, there’s a short term option where businesses can book from RM4 per hour.

Unlike GoCar, SoCar is providing free petrol for their vehicles. However, this is likely done via a point or cash refund system where customers would need to pay for the petrol first. We will update this post once we have received more info from SoCar.

Customers can pick either a hatchback, sedan or an MPV for their transportation need. For greater convenience, SoCar can deliver the car to you for free via its SOCAR-2-YOU service.
