Honor MagicBook packs incredible value for less than RM2,300

[ UPDATE 7/4/2020 14:00 ] According to Honor Malaysia, the MagicBook is not available yet. The 2pm countdown on Shopee was for the price reveal and the MagicBook will only go on sale tomorrow, 8th April.

Honor Malaysia has announced its first laptop, the MagicBook 14. The AMD Ryzen 5 powered device is priced under RM2,300 and it comes bundled with freebies worth over RM1,000.

Pricing and availability

The Honor MagicBook 14 which packs 8GB RAM and 512GB of SSD storage is officially priced at RM2,299 in Malaysia. You can purchase the laptop from 12am on 8th April 2020.

If you’re interested, the MagicBook will be available on Honor’s online store, as well as Shopee, SenHeng and SenQ. On top of that, Honor is bundling RM1,017 worth of freebies which consists of a Bluetooth wireless mouse, Honor MagicWatch 2 and an Honor Laptop Backpack.

Hardware Specs

The Honor MagicBook comes with a 14″ Full HD IPS display and it runs on an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics. For Malaysia, we are getting a single variant with 8GB RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.

The laptop comes with a USB-C port, 2x USB-A (USB 3.0 + USB 2.0), an HDMI port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The laptop has a power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor and quad-speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos.

The laptop’s 57.6Wh battery is rated to last up to 10 hours and it can support 65W fast charging via USB-C. If you have a compatible device, it also supports Honor Magic-Link 2,0 which enables multi-screen collaboration.

The laptop comes with 2-years warranty and it comes pre-installed with Microsoft Windows 10. You can check out our first impressions here.
