Honor 9X Pro arrives in Malaysia for under RM1,000

After months of teasing, the Honor 9X Pro has finally arrived in Malaysia. This is Honor Malaysia’s first smartphone to come with Huawei Mobile Services and it runs on a Kirin 810 processor.

Pricing and availability

The Honor 9X Pro is officially priced at RM999 in Malaysia. This is the same price as the standard Honor 9X that was launched in November 2019.

The mid-range smartphone will be available at Honor Experience Stores from 17th April 2020. During the first day sale, Honor is providing an Honor Band 5i fitness band for free.

Hardware specs

The 9X Pro comes with a 6.59″ Full HD+ display which is similar to the standard Honor 9X. Under the hood, it runs on a Kirin 810 processor. It comes with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The back features a triple-camera setup that consists of a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, it also gets a pop-up 16MP selfie camera.

Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging via its USB-C port. Unlike the standard Honor 9X, it doesn’t come with Google apps and services pre-loaded, and that means you’ll have to use Huawei’s AppGallery instead of the Google PlayStore for your applications.
