Planning to get the iPad Air 2019? Machines and Switch are now offering a free storage upgrade to 256GB. That’s 4x the storage at the price of the 64GB model.
According to both retailers, the offer is valid while stocks last and it is available at their respective outlets. From the looks of it, this is applicable to the iPad Air Cellular model. The iPad Air 64GB LTE + WiFi version is going for RM2,749 while the 256GB version is officially priced at RM3,399. With this free upgrade promo, you’ll save RM650. The other accessories such as the Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil are sold separately.
The current 3rd gen iPad Air was released last year and it has a similar exterior as the previous-generation iPad Pro. It has a 10.5″ Retina Display and it runs on an Apple A12 Bionic chip, which is the same processor as the iPhone XS.
The device has an 8MP f/2.4 main camera that shoots 1080p videos, while the front comes with a 7MP FaceTime HD camera. There’s also a dual-speaker setup and it charges via a lightning port.
In terms of connectivity, it supports dual-band WiFi and the cellular version supports both nano-SIM and eSIM connectivity. As usual, the iPad Air boasts up to 10 hours of battery life.
If you’ve purchased the 3rd gen iPad Air and it’s having issues with the display, you might be able to get it fixed for free. Apple has announced a service program for the iPad Air blank screen issue for units that are manufactured between March to October 2019.
