The most affordable Samsung Galaxy A phone has arrived in Malaysia

Samsung Malaysia has announced the arrival of its newest smartphone to join the Galaxy A family. Just this January, Samsung launched its Galaxy A71 and A51 both of which are mid-range smartphones. Now, they released the Galaxy A01, its most affordable smartphone in the Galaxy A series.

The dual-sim phone comes with a 5.7-inch Infinity-V display that has a HD+ resolution of 1520×720 pixels. It also has a 5MP f/2.2 front camera with a Selfie Focus option that provides a slight blur effect to the background. Meanwhile, the rear comes with a dual-camera setup which consists of a 13MP f/2.2 main camera and a secondary 2MP f/2.4 camera for depth effects.

The Galaxy A01 is listed with an unspecific Octa-Core processor (likely a Snapdragon 439) with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. If you need more storage, you can add a microSD card up to 512GB. It also comes with a Face Unlock feature for instant unlocking. The device also features Samsung One UI Core platform that focuses on productivity and convenience, and it also has Night Mode which turns your phone’s interface to dark mode. The Galaxy A01 comes with a 3,000mAh battery that charges via microUSB.

If you’re interested, you can purchase the Galaxy A01 online, at participating Samsung Experience Stores and at authorised dealers. The Samsung Galaxy A01 official retail price is RM449 and it comes in Black, Blue and Red.
