Oppo Find X2 is priced the same as the Galaxy S20+ in Malaysia

The Oppo Find X2 series is Malaysia’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 865-powered smartphone. The Oppo Find X2 and X2 Pro are now official in Malaysia and the retail pricing for both devices have been revealed.

Below is the official Find X2 series pricing in Malaysia:

Find X2 Pro 12GB RAM + 512GB storage – RM4,599
Find X2 12GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM3,999

At RM3,999, the Find X2 with 256GB storage is priced the same as the Galaxy S20+ with 128GB of storage. Meanwhile, the Find X2 Pro 512GB at RM4,599 is more affordable than the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G 128GB (RM4,999). It is also worth mentioning that both the Find X2 and X2 Pro support 5G in Malaysia.

There’s only one spec variant for each model and the top-of-the-line X2 Pro comes in either Black (Ceramic) or Orange (Vegan Leather). For the more affordable X2, the device can be yours in other Black (Ceramic) or Ocean (Glass).

“Pre-order” offer

The X2 series are now available for “pre-order”, which is essentially a pre-booking which requires a non-refundable RM300 deposit. If you secure your unit now, you’ll get a VOOC Powerbank (worth RM229) along with 1-year extended warranty that comes with 90-days screen protection (worth RM299).

First-day sale

The X2 Pro will go on sale on the 21st March 2020 while the X2 will be released earlier on the 14th of March 2020. Both first day sales will take place in Pavilion KL. In addition to the freebies that are offered during the pre-order, Oppo is also bundling a free Oppo Enco Free wireless earbuds worth RM499, while stocks last.

Find X2 and X2 Pro

The Find X2 series features a 6.7″ dual-curved AMOLED display that pushes a Quad HD+ resolution of 3168×1440 pixels. While other flagship smartphones like the Galaxy S20 Ultra are capable of doing a high 120Hz refresh rate, the Find X2 series is capable of doing 120Hz even in its highest Quad HD+ setting.

Accompanying its flagship Snapdragon 865 processor is 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS3.0 storage. For taking pictures, the X2 Pro gets a 48MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 13MP periscope camera that’s capable up to 60x zoom. For selfies, the punch-hole hoses a 32MP shooter.

The Find X2 Pro also boasts stereo speakers and it is also the first Oppo device to get IP68 dust and water resistance. Powering the device is a 4,260mAh battery that supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge charging. Oppo claims that you can fully charge the device in just 38 minutes, however, it doesn’t come with wireless charging and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

For the standard Find X2, it is pretty much the same except that it gets less storage and a slightly watered down camera setup. It gets a 48MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a standard 13MP telephoto camera that can push up to 20x max zoom.

In terms of battery, it has a slightly lower capacity at 4,200mah but it still supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging. Unlike the X2 Pro, it doesn’t get IP68 rated dust and water resistance.
