Deal: AirAsia offers 1-year of unlimited flights for RM499

AirAsia is giving you a chance to fly as much as you want for one full year for one fixed price. The low-cost carrier has just introduced its unlimited pass at RM499 to all AirAsia BIG members in Malaysia.

The AirAsia Unlimited pass is available through AirAsia Deals or via the Deals section of the AirAsia app. The pass is available from 12:01PM on 29th February 2020 until 11:59PM on 7th March 2020. If you’ve purchased the pass, you can use it to travel between 2nd March 2020 until 2nd March 2021.

This unlimited travel pass is only applicable for AirAsia flights over 4 hours with the code (AirAsia X) D7 and (Thai AirAsia X) XJ. It excludes flights to Singapore, Denpasar (Bali) and Jeddah. To book with the unlimited pass, a promo code will be issued and the discount is only applicable for the base fare and does not include additional add-ons such as airport charges, taxes and regulatory fees.

All bookings under AirAsia Unlimited pass must be made at least fourteen (14) days before the flight departure date and it is still subject to seat availability. However, do note that an embargo period applies, and the flight redemptions would not be available on all flights during public holidays, school breaks and weekends. This means you may not necessarily get to enjoy the pass for all of your prefered travel dates.

Once a flight has been booked with the pass, no changes will be allowed to the flight booking. There will be no refunds for any unutilised AirAsia Unlimited Pass purchased. Most importantly, you are only allowed a total of 3 no-shows, and once you’ve exceeded this amount, AirAsia will forfeit your unlimited pass.

Overall, this seems to be a pretty good deal but you must take note of its limitations such as the embargo date and you would still need to pay for add-ons including taxes. You can read the full FAQ and T&C.
