The Ministry of Health has updated that a total of 15 patients have recovered from the coronavirus disease with the addition of two Malaysians that were discharged from Hospital Sungai Buloh today. According to Health Minister Datuk Seri Dzulkelfy Ahmad, both have fully covered after testing negative following treatment and they are allowed to go home this morning.
There are no additional confirmed cases reported in the last 24-hours and this leaves 7 confirmed cases remaining which are still undergoing treatment and in stable condition. There are zero deaths reported so far in Malaysia.
Out of the 15 recovered cases, 10 are Chinese citizens while the remaining 5 are Malaysians. The first local recovery was a four-year-old girl from China which had received treatment at Hospital Sultanah Maliha Langkawi.
As of 8am this morning, there are a total of 75,144 confirmed cases worldwide with a total of 2,007 deaths. Approximately 98% of confirmed cases and 99% of deaths are from China. Singapore has the largest number of COVID19 cases outside of China with a total of 81 confirmed cases and zero deaths. The only deaths reported outside of China are in Japan, France and the Philippines.
