Samsung MY offers free Galaxy Buds+ for Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra 5G pre-order

[ UPDATE 12/2/2020 07:30 ]: Samsung Galaxy 20 pre-order details revealed. Priced from RM3,599.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 launch is happening at 3am today (Malaysian time) and we now get a glimpse of the pre-order promo for Malaysia. As speculated earlier, the higher Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra will be bundled with a pair of Galaxy Buds+ wireless earphones. This was spotted on a Samsung banner ad which appeared online.

The ad also reveals that Samsung is bringing the 5G variant for its top of the line Galaxy S20 Ultra and this is also the first time Samsung Malaysia is offering a 5G smartphone for our market. At the moment, 5G isn’t available just yet but our local networks are expected to deploy 5G services beginning in Q3 2020.

According to the ad, customers that pre-order the Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra will get the Galaxy Buds+ that are valued at RM599. That’s RM100 more than the original Galaxy Buds.

The new Galaxy Buds+ doesn’t come with active noise cancellation but it boasts longer battery life up to 11 hours per charge and you can get up to 22 hours of music playback with the included case. The sound quality should be improved as it features a 2-way dynamic speaker for woofer + tweeter, and there’s also the ability to launch Spotify directly from your earphones.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra is Samsung’s biggest flagship smartphone yet. Based on the leaks, the device will feature a huge 6.9″ 120Hz Quad HD+ AMOLED display that has a punch-hole for a 40MP selfie camera. The rear is expected to feature an epic quad-camera setup that has a 108MP main camera and a 48MP telephoto camera that promises to offer up to 100X Space Zoom. The device is said to feature the largest ever battery on a Samsung flagship with a huge 5,000mAh battery that supports Super Fast Charge via USB-C.

The official pricing details aren’t revealed just yet, so stay tuned to us for the latest updates. Judging from the ads, local pre-order should be available soon.
