Xiaomi Mi 10 revealed: 108MP cam, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage

The Xiaomi Mi 10 is scheduled to launch globally on the 23rd February at Barcelona. However, Xiaomi will be announcing the device earlier in China on the 13th of February which is just two days away. Ahead of the big event, its co-founder and Chairman, Lei Jun, has dropped more clues of the Mi 10 including its top flagship features.

As expected, the Mi 10 will be a 5G device and it will run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. On top of that, it will also feature a better LPDDR5 RAM and a blazing fast UFS 3.0 internal storage. The new flagship also supports WiFi 6 which enables faster wireless transfer.

For imaging, the device comes with a quad-camera setup that’s aligned vertically at the back. The device has a 108MP 1/1.33″ image sensor that is stabilised by both OIS and EIS. It also supports a cinematic 2.35:1 format for video, HEIF format and 120 fps slow-mo selfies.

Design-wise, it looks similar to the Mi Note 10 as it has a dual-curved display but instead of a notch, it gets a punch-hole on the top left. The rear looks similar as well but it comes with just four instead of five cameras.

To keep its top-of-the-line processor cool, the Xiaomi Mi 10 will come with a huge vapour chamber to improve its thermal performance. As shown above, it looks pretty huge and it appears to cover the battery.

Overall, the Mi 10 looks like a spec beast as it packs the best processor, RAM and storage combination. However, this time, the Mi 10 is expected to carry a higher price tag and it could be possibly priced higher than the current Mi Note 10. As a comparison, the Snapdragon 730G powered Mi Note 10 with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is going for RM2,099 while the Mi Note 10 Pro with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at RM2,499.

We will find out more about its full hardware specs and pricing when the Mi 10 is revealed this coming Thursday.
