I can’t express to you how excited I am to finally get this off the ground. But we’ve been getting a whole bunch of requests since the first episode, asking us to turn our in-depth video discussion series Let’s Talk About (LTA) into a proper podcast that people can listen to wherever they get their podcasts. And I know I’ve been saying that it would happen soon for literally months, but there’s good news because that soon is now a now.
Yes, LTA is now a proper podcast and you should be able to listen to it pretty much anywhere you usually listen to your podcasts. It took some time for me to search for the right kind of platform to publish LTA, but what I eventually settled on was Anchor, because it is a really simple all-in-one solution that would take care of most of the distribution process for me.
What Anchor does, besides also host your podcast episodes, is that it automatically helps you distribute it to all the podcast platforms it has access to. That means, not only will I only need to update just one platform for the changes to reverberate across the podcasting world, it’s also so much easier to manage stats and create a hub for everyone to come to.
A couple of things to note. First, the audio isn’t quite at your usual “podcast” grade just yet (as of episode 17), especially in the first couple of episodes where all we had was a Rode VideoMicro hooked up to a Zoom H1, but we’re working on getting better equipment in so you can expect that to improve in the coming episodes. Since LTA is more a long-form video series up until this point, some earlier episodes will have visual queues that were not really designed for a podcast. Moving forward, we will be taking this audio-only aspect into consideration, so bear with us while we make this adjustment.
And finally, I hope you enjoy this! We work really hard on making meaningful content for all of you to enjoy, and we wouldn’t be able to do it without all of you. That also means that we’re always (and forever) open to constructive feedback from you our beautiful viewers. Topics, production, hosts, etc. Anything you have in mind that you’d like to see improve, change or even if you just want to share your own stories, we’d love to hear them in the comments below.
OK, that’s enough from me for this post. Go listen to our podcast and share it with anyone you think would be interested in listening to this now!
