The Samsung Galaxy S20 launch is taking place on 11th February 2020 and this is their latest flagship series that will succeed the current Galaxy S10 lineup. Apart from the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra, the South Korean smartphone maker will also introduce their new Galaxy Buds+ wireless earphones.
Based on the latest leak by serial leakster @evleaks, the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ will be bundled for free when you purchase the Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra during the pre-order period.
The image shows the Galaxy Buds+ which looks identical to the current version but the LED indicator and the “L and R” label appears to be different. While other manufacturers such as Sony and Apple have added active noise cancelling features to its latest TWS earbuds, unfortunately, it won’t be offered on the Galaxy Buds+.
At the moment, we can’t 100% confirm if this promotion will be applicable in every market and the leaked image above could be meant for the US or European market. However, it is worth pointing out that Samsung Malaysia is usually generous when it comes to freebies. During last year’s Galaxy S10 pre-order promo, they did bundle a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+. Since Malaysia is a key market, you can expect pre-orders to be offered locally shortly after the global launch.
The current Samsung Galaxy Buds was released with a retail price of RM499. It offers up to 6 hours of music playback on a single charge and with an extra 7 hours with its bundled charging case. Apart from USB-C charging, the Galaxy Buds case can also support wireless charging.
For 2020, Samsung is doing something different for its new flagship series. Apart from jumping 10 steps from S10 to S20, the new lineup now gets a larger S20 Ultra model which is expected to come with a 6.9″ Quad HD+ AMOLED display with a higher 120Hz refresh rate.
To challenge Huawei’s upcoming flagship smartphone in the photography department, the S20 Ultra will come with a high-resolution 108MP main camera and a 48MP telephoto lens that offers up to 10x optical zoom and 100x “Space Zoom”. For greater versatility, there’s also a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 3D ToF camera for depth effects.
