Sony Xperia 1 review: Can a smartphone do cinema?

Let’s face it, Sony has had a hard time in the mobile space. When they left the Southeast Asian market awhile ago, I didn’t think they’d be back–at least, not so soon. But it looks like they’re not done yet because the company is back with a brand new flagship smartphone, and it’s going all in on being a cinematic experience.

The question is: can a smartphone really do cinema? Or in the case of the Sony Xperia 1, does it really matter if it can?
