Like most smartphone makers, Realme is expanding its product lineup to offer more than just smartphones. After announcing its true wireless headphones, the Oppo sub-brand will be introducing its first fitness band very soon.
The fitness band plan was revealed by Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth during its #AskMadhav session on YouTube. He added that Realme aims to be India’s tech lifestyle brand and they have some outstanding products on their portfolio.
Touching on the fitness band, he said that it is definitely in the works and you can expect to see one coming within the first half of 2020. When asked about plans to release its VOOC power bank, Madhav replied it is definitely part of their roadmap for accessories but he couldn’t share any timelines at the moment.
Since Realme focuses on the affordable segment, we can expect their fitness bands to compete with the likes of the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 and the Honor Band 5. In Malaysia, the Mi Band 4 is currently going for RM149 while the Band 5 is officially priced at RM129.
