Vivo Y15 2020: A sub-RM600 triple-camera phone with 5,000mAh battery

As we welcome the brand new year, Vivo Malaysia has introduced the Y15 2020. This is their new budget smartphone that’s big in battery and it’s going for only RM599. You can consider this as a cheaper alternative to the Vivo Y17 which was announced in May this year.

The device comes with a 6.35″ Halo FullView Display that pushes a HD+ resolution of 1544 x 720 pixels. It runs on a MediaTek MT6762 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

For taking selfies, the tiny notch on the display houses a 16MP f/2.0 front camera while the rear gets a triple-camera setup. There’s a 13MP f/2.2 main camera, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP f/2.4 depth camera. The rear of the device also comes a physical fingerprint sensor for instant unlocking.

According to the spec-sheet, it supports Bluetooth 5.0 as well as 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi. Powering the device is a huge 5,000mAh battery which charges via microUSB. The device runs on Funtouch OS 9 that’s based on Android 9.0.

The Vivo Y15 2020 is now available on the Vivo official store as well as Lazada and Shopee. It comes in two colour options – Burgundy Red and Phantom Black.
