Samsung is expected to reveal the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, its new budget offering under the Galaxy Note 10 series. Despite carrying a “Lite” name, the new device still features a large display and it comes with a bigger battery than the Galaxy Note 10+. We now get a full glimpse of the device including its spec-sheet via reliable leakster Roland Quandt.
In terms of design, the front gets Samsung’s recognisable Infinity-O display but without curved edges. The screen is a 6.7″ Full HD+ SuperAMOLED panel that supports HDR and also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
If we take a look at the rear, it has a Huawei Mate 20-inspired triple-camera bump that’s placed on the top left corner. It comes in 3 colours including a red option as shown below.
For the main camera, it uses a 12MP f/1.7 main sensor that’s accompanied by a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. If you need to take selfies, the punch-hole on the display houses a rather high-resolution 32MP front camera.
Probably the biggest disappointment is its processor as it runs on an older Exynos 9810 unit. This is the same chipset that’s powering last year’s Galaxy S9 and Note 9 series. According to Roland, the device will come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which is still expandable via microSD.
The biggest surprise is that the device is equipped with a rather huge 4,500mAh battery and it is said to support 25W fast charging via USB-C. As a comparison, the 6.8″ Galaxy Note 10+ is fitted with a 4,300mAh battery while the smaller 6.3″ Note 10 comes with a rather small 3,500mAh capacity.
According to Roland, the device won’t support wireless charging which is quite surprising. However, the good news is that it still comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Since this is a Note, the device comes with an S Pen. The stylus still features the same 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity and it is also connected via Bluetooth 5.0.
According to reliable leakster, Roland Quandt, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite is expected to be priced at around EUR 609 (around RM2,793). and it is said to be available in Western Europe from January 2020. Since European pricing is generally more expensive than Malaysia, this could be priced closer to the RM2,000 mark if it gets here.
What do you think of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite? Would you get this over the smaller Galaxy Note 10 which is currently priced at RM3,699?
