Experience cashless retail therapy at the JDX Presto Concept Store

Just six months after being rebranded as PrestoMall, the e-commerce platform made yet another huge splash with the grand opening of the JDX Presto Concept Store in Quill City Mall KL on 12 December.

So, you might be asking “What’s the big deal? It’s just another store in another mall isn’t it?”

Well, yes. It is another store in another mall but the JDX Presto Concept Store currently holds the prestige of being the largest cashless concept store in ASEAN. PUC Berhad (Presto) and its partners, Smuzcity and Jingdong China, sees this as part of the evolution of the retail scene as it provides Malaysian consumers with an online to offline shopping experience.

This means that consumers can head to the store and try, touch and feel a product before buying it. This is a big advantage over e-commerce stores as it eliminates guesswork for items such as clothes and makeup where it is important to get the right size or shade that you want.

Of course, the store has more than just clothes and makeup. The store takes up 50,000 square feet, so you will find electrical appliances, gadgets, health and beauty, food and beverages, and home and living products from a wide selection of brands.

As it is a cashless store, you will no longer have to worry about carrying large amounts of cash or cards along with you. If you want to purchase an item from the store, all you have to do is scan the QR code of the product using the Presto app on your smartphone and then choose whether you would to pick up the item on-the-spot or have it delivered to your doorstep via JD Logistics for free. Items will be delivered within seven working days.

In conjunction with the grand opening, the JDX Presto concept store will also be giving away 5 pairs of admission tickets to Hong Kong Disneyland and 5 pairs of Legoland Combo tickets to customers who make purchases in the store between 12 to 31 December 2019. On top of that, customers will even get a chance to redeem PrestoPay credits by just visiting the store. If you are planning to do some retail therapy or last minute gift shopping for Christmas, it wouldn’t hurt to pay the JDX Presto concept store a visit. Just make sure you download the Presto app from the Apple Store or Google Play first.
