Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Malaysia: Everything you need to know

New day, new phone, and today it’s the brand new Xiaomi Mi Note 10. In fact, there are two brand new phones, the Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro. Here’s what you need to know.

Pricing & availability

The latest Mi Note series comes in two models – the Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro. In Malaysia, there are only two major differences between the Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro. One is their memory configuration, while the other is the fact that the Pro variant gets an 8P lens for its main camera. Below is the official pricing for the Malaysian market:

Mi Note 10 6GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM2,099
Mi Note 10 Pro 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM2,499

The devices come in three colour options – Midnight Black, Glacier White and Aurora Green.

If you’re interested, both models will be on sale from the 7th December 2019. Both devices will be available online through Lazada, Shopee and at all Mi Stores in Malaysia.

For the Mi Note 10, you can get a RM100 off PWP offer at the Mi Store if you purchase by the 15th December 2019. If you pick up the Mi Note 10 Pro, you also get RM100 off for PWP at the Mi Store plus an extra 12 months screen replacement coverage.

At today’s event, Xiaomi has also revealed the Singaporean pricing for the Mi Note 10 series. The standard Mi Note with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at SGD 699 while the Pro version with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is going for SGD 799.

Mi Note 10 & 10 Pro specs

Xiaomi’s new Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro are pretty much identical in the specs department. Both smartphones are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor, feature 6.47″ curved AMOLED displays and have a huge 5,260 mAh battery that supports 30W fast-charging via USB-C.

Both phones also feature the signature penta-camera setup at the back, with a 108MP wide camera, a 12MP telephoto, a 5MP 5X telephoto, a 20MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. The only difference here is that the Mi Note 10 Pro features an 8P lens on the main sensor while the Mi Note 10 comes with a 7P lens. Both also come with 32MP selfie cameras.

However, in Malaysia, both phones also differ when it comes to memory configuration. The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 locally will be available with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS2.1 storage while the Mi Note 10 Pro packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

For that touch of premium—and it does feel pretty good in the hand—the phones come with dual curved glass on the front and back that sandwiches a metal frame.
