Xiaomi CC9 Pro with 108MP camera now available in Malaysia

If quad-camera smartphones are just too mainstream, you might want to consider a penta-camera smartphone like the Xiaomi CC9 Pro. Announced in China a few weeks ago, the premium mid-range smartphone is now available in Malaysia through retailer Mobile2Go.

The CC9 Pro is offered for RM2,188 and this is for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The device is available in three colour options – Green, White and Black. Do note that this is an import set and it comes with a 2-year in-house warranty by Mobile2Go.

To recap, the Xiaomi CC9 Pro features a 6.47″ Full HD+ OLED display and it runs on a Snapdragon 730G processor. For taking pictures, the rear gets a total of five cameras that consists of a 108MP f/1.69 main camera, a 5MP telephoto lens with 5X optical zoom, a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, a 20MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a dedicated macro lens.

On DxOMark Mobile, the CC9 Pro has the highest score of 121 points and it is the same score as the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. For selfies, the tiny notch houses a 32MP front camera.

Keeping the lights on is a huge 5,260mAh battery and it supports a 30W fast charger via USB-C. There’s also support for NFC as well as an IR blaster. For global markets, the device will be released as the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 and it has already passed our local SIRIM certification.

We still don’t know when the local launch is taking place, but for those who can’t wait, you could get a unit from Mobile2Go.
