WhatsApp has introduced the perfect feature for small businesses

If you’re someone that uses WhatsApp for your business, or you’ve tried to purchase products from a small business via WhatsApp, you’ll know that it can be tedious process. Usually, multiple photos are sent over from the vendor, and if you’re looking to buy a few items, well, multiply those photos.

WhatsApp is looking to better-equip the growing entrepreneur market by introducing Catalogs for Small Businesses on WhatsApp, which allows for users of the WhatApp Business app to display catalogs of their products within the WhatsApp app.

In addition to a business description section, address, as well as opening hours and other details, each business owner will now have a catalog section that will display and showcase their products. Each item can also have information attached—including price, description, product code, and more.

We’re guessing that micro-entrepreneurs and those involved in e-commerce will appreciate the introduction of catalogs for WhatsApp business, with the majority of communication already going through WhatsApp for most of us. A ready-made solution, it seems.

The feature is only available to businesses using the WhatsApp business app on iPhone and Android Brazil, Germany, India, Indonesia, Mexico, the U.K. and the U.S. However, WhatsApp says that the feature will be rolled out to the rest of the world “soon”.
