Steam is down (UPDATED)

Don’t you just hate it when it’s like 2am and you just want to squeeze in a few more Steam purchases that you’ll regret in the morning, only to find that you can’t seem to connect to the store? Yeah, that’s pretty much what just happened to me because it looks like Steam is down.

At first, I thought it was a regularly scheduled maintenance but after some Googling around, it looks like that isn’t the case. From what I’ve gathered, Steam’s maintenance happens on Tuesdays at around 3pm Malaysian time, so this should be an anomaly.

Now, I don’t think that this is like what happened last time when Steam was blocked in Malaysia because of a controversial fighting game, but you’d never know. Still, this website that lets you check Steam’s server status seems to indicate that it is indeed down.

In the meantime though, do you peeps have any new games you think I should buy, please let me know in the comments below. I need something else to kill time. Has anyone tried the new Call of Duty yet? Is that worth it? Gameplay looks pretty sick, but it is a Call of Duty game, so…
