Oppo Reno2 unboxing & hands-on

Barely 5 months after the launch of the first Oppo Reno, the company has now launched their latest premium mid range smartphone, which is also known as the successor of the Oppo Reno called the Oppo Reno2.

The Oppo Reno 2 actually looks quite similar to the previous Oppo Reno, the cameras are still arranged vertically in the middle and the best part is that there’s no camera bump.

There is also a round tiny bump located at the bottom of the Oppo Reno 2’s camera which helps to prevent your camera from being scratched. And similar to its predecessor, the Oppo Reno2 also features an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The only difference is that this time the Oppo Reno 2 comes with a total of 4 cameras at the back. It consist of a 48MP Sony IMX586 main camera with OIS and a 13MP f/2.4 telephoto camera that offers 2X optical zoom and 5X hybrid zoom. If you want to push it further, the Reno 2 can go up to 20X zoom in digital.

Besides that, it also has an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera and  a 2MP macro camera for you to take pictures up close. And similar to the previous Oppo Reno, this smartphone also gets a wedged-shaped pop-up selfie module that houses a 16MP front camera.

If you are a fan of taking videos, you will also be happy to know that the Oppo Reno 2 features an Ultra Steady Mode which uses a combination of OIS and EIS.

Upfront this device features a 6.5” Full HD+ AMOLED display and it now runs on a SNapdragon 730G processor that’s mated to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.  Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery that supports VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 via USB-C.

If you are interested to purchase tihs device, the Oppo Reno2 is officially priced at RM2,299 in Malaysia.
