Vivo Nex 3 5G: You can pre-order Malaysia’s first 5G phone today

Malaysia’s first 5G smartphone is now available for pre-order. Vivo Malaysia has started accepting orders for the Nex 3 5G nationwide ahead of its official launch that’s happening on 17th October 2019.

The Vivo Nex 3 5G is officially priced at RM3,899, which is the same price as the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. As a pre-order promo, they are offering free gifts worth RM699 which include a business toiletries case, an electric toothbrush, electric shaver, plus screen protection and warranty extension.

If you’re interested, you can pre-order from now until 18th October at Vivo Malaysia’s online store. It is also available from authorised dealers and Vivo concept stores.

To recap on the specs, the Vivo Nex 3 5G features a 6.89″ OLED Waterfall FullView display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it runs on a Snapdragon 855+ processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

For taking pictures, it features a triple-camera setup that consists of a 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 13MP telephoto camera. If you need to take a selfie, the device features an elevating 16MP front camera that pops up in 0.68 seconds.

Keeping the lights on is a 4,500mAh battery and for Malaysia, the device is bundled with a 22.5W Vivo FlashCharge power brick. Also included is a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Although this is the first 5G phone that you can officially buy, no local telcos are offering 5G services at the moment. The 5G spectrum will be ready only in the second half of 2020 and how soon you can subscribe will depend on the telcos themselves.
