Realme X2 Pro is a OnePlus 7T killer

Realme has been well known for making affordable entry-level and mid-range smartphones. The Oppo sub-brand is now going upmarket by introducing the Realme X2 Pro, its first top-of-the-line flagship smartphone that boasts killer specs.

The Realme X2 Pro features a 6.5″ Super AMOLED display from Samsung that boasts a fluid 90Hz refresh rate. It has a high contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 with 1000 nits of peak brightness. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and it also features an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, it is running on the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855+ processor that comes with a vapour chamber liquid cooling system. The flagship device can be configured with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. For more immersive gaming experience, it features a tactile linear motor. It also gets dual speakers for stereo playback with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certification.

In the camera department, it has a quad-camera setup that features a 64MP f/1.8 main camera that uses Samsung’s GW1 sensor. It also has a 13MP f/2.5 telephoto camera with 20x hybrid zoom and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera. There’s also a 2MP camera for depth sensing. For selfies, the tiny notch in front houses a 16MP front camera.

The X2 Pro comes with a 4,000mAh battery that supports 50W SuperVOOC charging via USB-C. With the 10V/5A charging brick, you can fully charge the device within 35 minutes. For audio enthusiasts, you’ll be happy to know that it also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Below is the official Realme X2 Pro pricing in China:

6GB RAM + 64GB storage – CNY 2,599 (about RM1,540)
8GB RAM + 128GB storage – CNY 2,799 (about RM1,646)
12GB RAM + 256GB storage – CNY 3,199 (about RM1,896)

According to the spec-sheet, the 64GB storage version uses UFS 2.1 storage instead of UFS 3.0. At the moment, there’s no mention if the Realme X2 Pro will be released outside of China but overall, this is quite a killer smartphone under RM2,000.
