Xiaomi launches 3 wireless earbuds including an AirPods clone. Priced from RM99

During the launch of the Redmi Note 8 series in Malaysia, Xiaomi has also introduced three pairs of true wireless earbuds for the local market. This includes the affordable Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic that starts from RM99.

The top of the line offering for Malaysia is the Mi True Wireless Earphones which looks like the Apple AirPods. On a single charge, the earphones themselves can last up to 3 hours of music playback. It comes with a vertical case that charges via USB-C and the built-in battery can provide up to 10 hours of total music playback.

The True Wireless Earphones supports Bluetooth 4.2 and according to the global page, it comes with ENC (environment noise cancellation). The sides are touch-sensitive and you can activate voice assistant by double-tapping on it. The wireless earbuds are now available on the official Xiaomi store on Shopee for RM329.

If you’re looking for something more affordable, there’s the Mi True Wireless Earbuds that are not only cheaper but they are also more compact in size. The standard model is priced at RM179 while the basic model is priced at RM99. Both come with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and voice assistant support. The key difference is that the standard model has touch-sensitive control while the basic model comes with physical buttons.

All three wireless audio products will be available from authorised Mi Stores in Malaysia from the 12th October 2019. If you prefer to get it online, they will be available on Lazada and Shopee.

The Mi True Wireless Earbuds basic is similar to the Redmi Airdots which are sold for less than RM80 in Malaysia. If you’re wondering if it’s any good, you can check out our wireless earphones comparison here.
