Oppo Reno 2 is coming to Malaysia on 15 October

As teased earlier, Oppo Malaysia is launching its latest Oppo Reno 2 series in Malaysia very soon. The launch event has been confirmed and it will take place in Kuala Lumpur next Tuesday, on the 15th of October 2019.

Similar to the current Reno series, you can expect Oppo to offer the highest spec variant for the Malaysian market. According to a recent teaser, the Reno 2 will come with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. One of the key highlights is its quad-camera setup that boasts 20X zoom and an ultra steady video recording.

The Reno 2 was introduced in India in August and it features a 6.5″ Full HD+ AMOLED display and it runs on a more capable Snapdragon 730G processor. The device still features a unique wedged-shaped pop-up camera that houses a 16MP front shooter. For taking pictures, it will feature a 48MP f/1.7 main camera, a 13MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 2X optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2MP mono lens for portrait mode.

In India, the Reno 2 is priced at INR 36,990 which is about RM2,185 if converted directly. As a comparison, the current 1st gen Oppo Reno with a Snapdragon 710 processor is priced at RM1,999 and it has 6GB RAM + 256GB of storage.
