Samsung Galaxy Fold now available in Malaysia

Want to be among the first to get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy Fold in Malaysia? The foldable flagship device is now available in Malaysia but you’ll have to fork out a premium for it.

Retailer Mobile2Go is offering the Samsung Galaxy Fold and it’s going for a hefty RM13,888. The box comes with the original case and also included is a set of Galaxy Buds. Obviously, this is an import set and it is more expensive than the purported RM8,000 pricing for Malaysia. At the moment, it is available only in black and this is the 4G LTE version.

To recap, the Galaxy Fold comes with a 4.6″ HD+ Super AMOLED display on the cover, while on the inside, it gets a 7.3″ QXGA+ Infinity Flex display. It runs on a Snapdragon 855 processor with 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage. The 4G version comes with a 4,380mAh battery while the 5G variant gets a smaller 4,235mAh capacity.

The foldable device was supposed to launch locally in May but it was delayed for months due to issues with the display. The improved version was announced earlier this month with added protection caps, reduced gaps and it contains extra metal layers underneath the display to improve durability.
